Pikitup employees face dismissal if they miss deadline to return to work

Striking Pikitup employees were given until noon to report to work‚ and the failure to do so would lead to their dismissal. "Following the stoppage yesterday‚ management issued a final ultimatum to workers to return to work by 12h00 today or face summary dismissal‚" said the MMC for Environment and Infrastructure Services Department‚ councillor Matshidiso Mfikoe.
