WATCH: Fees Must Fall protests erupts as student groups clash at Wits
The University of the Witwatersrand played was the scene of a renewed fees-related protest on Monday led by EFF and PAC student representatives demanding that university fees that have not yet been reduced be cut.
Students interrupted lectures and barricaded entrances before gathering in Senate House on the Braamfontein Campus.
A group of feminists wielding sjamboks condemned the protest accusing UCT student activist Chumani Maxwele who was present of being a rapist. Sanitary products were thrown at protests.

Wits EFF student leader Vuyani Pambo addressed protesters after the incident saying that no one was going to police who attended the #FeesMustFall protest and that everyone was welcome no matter their sexual orientation.
Pambo begged: “Black children cannot be caught fighting with each other this way. Let us find common ground and let us unite.”
A lecture hall was set alight during the protest with reported damage to the roof and seats.
