UJ SRC election results expected in coming week

Elections for a new Student Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) were successfully concluded at the weekend‚ following three days of polling on all campuses. According to the university‚ voter turnout was broadly in line with previous years. It said the results would be announced once the electoral commission responsible for running the elections had attended to objections and appeals raised by a small number of candidates at two of the university’s campuses.
