Legal actions on debt show decrease in 2016

The total number of civil summonses issued for debt decreased by 13.4% in the first quarter of 2016 compared with the first quarter of 2015‚ Statistics SA revealed on Thursday. In its report for the civil cases for debt‚ Statistics SA said civil judgments recorded for debt decreased by 11.2% in the first quarter of 2016 compared with the first quarter of 2015.
