Hunters take firearm renewal frustrations to Parliament

Parliament will on Friday get an update on the “turnaround strategy” adopted by the Central Firearms Registry (CFR) to rid itself of a “sluggishness in processing firearm licenses and renewals”.The Portfolio Committee on Police will “receive a status report on the interventions the CFR has employed towards improving its processes” and the “meeting will provide a platform to assess the effectiveness of the strategy”.
