Ex-cop charged with impersonating prosecutor to earn R21‚000 bribe

A former police reservist has been charged with fraud and corruption after allegedly impersonating a prosecutor in an attempt to extort a bribe. Abraham Jacobus Visagie‚ 39‚ appeared in Springbok Magistrate's Court and was released on R2‚000 bail‚ Northern Cape Hawks spokesman Captain Philani Nkwalase said on Wednesday.
