Police watchdog blasts provincial SAPS

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate has slammed Western Cape police for dragging their feet in the investigation into officers' involvement in the killing of three fast-food workers. Acting spokesman for the police watchdog Robbie Raburabu said some of the officers who it was believed could contribute information to the investigation had claimed that they were working under cover and were afraid that they would be exposed if they made statements.
