Early payday for social grant recipients

Payday will come early for social grant recipients‚ thanks to the local government elections. The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) on Thursday announced that social grant payments for August will be brought forward and will commence from July 27.According to a statement released by Sassa spokeswoman Shivani Wahab‚ the payment at pay points will run from 27 to 29 July 2016.
