TV biopic for Spears

The US Lifetime channel has set its sights on Britney Spears as the subject of its next TV biopic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Natasha Bassett will star as the beleaguered Mouseketeer who became the target of so much derision on gossip sites in the Noughties.The news comes days before the release of Glory, the singer's ninth studio album, and her appearance on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke series.
