Faked school results costs police typist dearly

A public service employee who faked his school marks to get a job as a data typist with the South African Police Service was sentenced to a fine of R6000 or 24 months imprisonment. Thapelo Samson Shongwe‚ 44‚ was employed as a typist at the Douglas Police Station in the Northern Cape in March 2004.
