Lucky escape for 15 children as driver forgets to engage handbrake

Fifteen children were injured on Tuesday afternoon after a bakkie transporting them veered out of control off the R56 in Shepstone Farm near Thornville in KwaZulu-Natal. Fortunately‚ their injuries were classified by paramedics as minor to moderate. ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the children ranged in ages from five to eight years old.
