R2 million abalone bust and the man who tried to get away

Two people aged 31 and 36 will appear in the Strand Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday after being caught with R2 million worth of abalone packed in two vehicles. They were pulled over along Old Sir Lowry’s Pass Road in the Western Cape on Monday during a sting operation by members from the Department of Agriculture‚ Forestry and Fisheries in Somerset West.
