Taxi drivers block Joburg streets

Taxi drivers have blocked streets in Johannesburg leading to the Premier’s office‚ department of safety and the department of transport. The taxi drivers are demanding that the provincial government speed up the process of releasing permits. Recently the transport portfolio committee held a meeting with taxi associations to report back on a study which was conducted.
