NSRI evacuates two crew members from same ship in three days

The National Sea Rescue Institute’s (NSRI) Port Elizabeth station on Monday night rescued an injured chef from a fish factory ship – two days after it had to bring ashore a sick crew member from the same craft. On Saturday‚ the PE duty crew received a “request for medical assistance from the 120m Desert Diamond reporting a female crew member suffering lower abdominal pains suspected to be appendicitis”.
