Mos Def off the hook and allowed to go home at last

The criminal charges against US musician and actor Yasiin Bey, also known as Mos Def, have been dropped by the Department of Home Affairs and he was due to fly out of South Africa last night. He was charged after trying to leave the country without a valid passport earlier this year.Born Dante Terrell Smith, Mos Def was arrested in January in Cape Town when he tried to leave South Africa using a "World Government of World Citizens" passport.
