SA runners 'go to war' over 100km in Spain

Bongmusa Mthembu earned not a cent for his role in South Africa winning the team gold at the world 100km championship in Spain at the weekend, but he still rated the feat higher than winning the Comrades. He and two fellow Comrades champions - Gift Kelehe and reigning king David Gatebe - secured victory with a combined time of 19hr 51min 40sec, just four minutes and four seconds ahead of Japan.
