Coca Cola was forced to remove an advert celebrating the good old days when Fanta was born, 75 years ago in Germany.

"75 years ago, resources for our beloved Coke in Germany were scarce," the advert said according to Haaretz.

"To celebrate Fanta, we want to give you the feeling of the good old times back," The advert continued, entirely neglecting to mention the reason resources were scarce.

Those good old days were the days of the Third Reich and the holocaust, in which millions died.

After the Internet uproar the advert was pulled and re-edited, removing the reference to the good old times.

Unfortunately for the company, when something goes online it tends to say there. A copy of the original advert was uploaded to Vimeo.
