I try to bite my tongue when it comes to celebrity news that involve personal choices that are essentially none of my business. But Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's announcement that they are about to become parents on the last day of what was otherwise a good year put a sour taste in my mouth.

I still have no idea why Kim Kardashian is famous, other than the family reality TV show and spin-off shows, and stripping for photo shoots every now and then. And for the longest time, I really didn't care. If you can remain relevant enough to make millions of money, then more power to you.

But I draw the line on the news of a new baby who is coming into a dodgy world of Kardashian kaos - with mom STILL married to Kris Humphries!

Kim has managed to stay baby-free through all her famous sex tape, long-term and not-so-long-term relationships, and through two marriages. But she chooses to get pregnant by the infamously fame-hungry Kanye West before her divorce is finalised. I have no issue with the news of the pregnancy, but couple it with the fact that she is still Mrs Humphries...?

This is hardly exemplary to her fans, whether Kim likes it or not. Famous people often say people should be mindful of the fact that they too are human and have a right to make choices and decisions. But they forget that they are the first to make announcements about their personal choices and as a result, are inviting people to voice their opinions on the matter.

Kris Jenner, Kim's mother, famous tried to pressure Kim's sister Kourtney into marrying the father of her two children, so I can venture a guess on what her thoughts are on her daughter's pregnancy while still married to someone else. I must say, the two teenage sisters to Kim do not have a great example of good morals and values, in my opinion.

Is this the woman young women should be inspired by? I'm not sure if she wants to stick it to Kris Humphries by getting pregnant before their marriage officially ends or if she's just doesn't care that she's still a married woman.

I wonder if Kanye West cares either, what better way to ensure he stays in the tabloids than hook up with a Kardashian, let alone permanently link himself up with one by having a child with Kim.

What's next? A few millions to air the birth of the baby live on TV? I wouldn't put it past them!
