eNews must hand over 'criminals'

Gary, by e-mail | 19 January, 2010 22:170 Comments

Gary, by e-mail: As much as I support the freedom of the press, I totally agree that e.tv should reveal the whereabouts of the ''criminals" it interviewed, "TV channel subpoenaed", January 19.

Surely the channel knows that allowing these people a platform to brag about their crimes is the same as conspiracy to commit a crime.

I say the public should boycott the channel and advertisers u sing this channel. The advertisers must surely know that the men interviewed are the same ones who rob their stores and hurt their customers.

The people eNews interviewed are the same people who rob banks, supermarkets and other retail stores. They kill, rape, maim and hurt people.

Who will be responsible if the very people they knew were going to commit a crime do just that and kill an innocent person during a botched robbery or hijacking?

It is time the public has the guts to say, "enough is enough", let's support the police in this and force eNews to hand these people over. There is press freedom, but there is also responsibility to the viewing public.

Boycott the channel and its advertisers. Force those who allowed the criminals a platform into submission. I for one will no longer support any e.tv advertiser or the channel until such time as it shows responsibility.
