We have the power to unseat government

Alan Wilson, Port Elizabeth | 24 February, 2010 23:060 Comments

Alan Wilson, Port Elizabeth: The ANC has used Julius Malema and others to attack anyone who dares disagree with it.

Senior role models who have been on the receiving end are Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, judges and the former ANC members who set up Cope. Julius has been set up by the ANC, and now believes he is untouchable.

The ANC used democracy to gain power and is using whatever means to remain in government.

If South African citizens are unhappy with service delivery, they have an extremely powerful tool - their vote.

We don't have to destroy valuable infrastructure to be heard - our vote gets the party out of power. All elected officials and public officials are our servants and we have the power to dismiss them.

We need role models who set the bar for the type of society we want to be. Not Malema and the likes.
