Land debate should be inclusive process
Mondeni Ntuli, Ga-Rankuwa: The rural development and land reform department will soon table its long-awaited Green Paper and we should all take a critical and constructive look at it.
Why should the nation not be included in discussion on issues which affect it?
All alternatives should be put on the table and discussion should be inclusive.
Some talk about share schemes and some talk about nationalisation (as a remedy), some talk about pure privatisation, turning everything into commercial agriculture. And, there have been calls for a review of the Constitution to facilitate land reform. Such issues need to be entertained.
