Mabotse : It is amazing how fearless criminals have become "Robberies in SA homes soar" (May 16). They operate in broad daylight and their skills are scary. We are in trouble.
My mother's house was broken into three weeks ago. The first time they entered through the roof and broke the ceiling; the second time they cut the security gates - in a house on a main road. They are so confident they parked their car in the driveway.
My simple rules: sadly, no more gardeners or domestic workers, and certainly no entry for those selling stuff in the neighbourhood. And to parents: if your son does not have a job it means he cannot own a DVD, plasma screen TV, camera, computer and car rims. Period.
