Blade protests too much
R L Legg, by e-mail: Kader Asmal certainly hit a raw nerve to receive such a response from Blade Nzimande ("Asmal just 'a petulant old man'", July 12).
But there was no need to descend into an equally petulant response.
It would have been more honourable for Nzimande, as minister of higher education, to acknowledge that he and those who created Outcomes-based Education messed up.
Being defensive and belligerent does not engender trust in his ability to be more realistic this time round.
