Government must encourage competition
Vusi April Jiyana, Mpumalanga: It sometimes seems like corporate employees are not only competent but driven to be good at their jobs because there is competition for positions within their companies, whereas most government employees are incompetent because they enjoy tenure. Only those who care and are aware of the importance of their services are competent.
It is high time that our government encouraged competition in its structures so that public servants can receive increments and benefits based on their performance.
