It is evident the veterans part of the ministry was not added to change lives of the former freedom fighters who risked dying for their country but, instead, to use some of them who are well-connected to find political careers.

As a former MK veteran, I hoped the government would keep its promise to give housing to former guerillas, but it was not going to be. They knew they have their own few among us who will benefit.

Can the media ask the minister about the plans and progress of veterans programmes?
