MK veterans chairman calls for unity, support for Zuma

The ANC must not allow itself to be divided by leadership battles as it was during the party's last conference in Polokwane, Umkhonto We Sizwe Military Veterans Association chairman Kebby Mapotsoe said on Saturday.
"We must go to Mangaung as one and emerge united. We must not go to another Polokwane," he said.
Mapotsoe was speaking at the opening of the Gauteng MKMVA provincial conference in Johannesburg.
He said the MKMVA would allow for debate on the leadership of the ANC at their conference next month, but until then the organisation was behind Zuma.
The African National Congress's national conference would take place in Mangaung in December.
MKMVA Gauteng chairman Duma Mlambo said earlier that the veterans had lost their relevance and had to work to avoid becoming a "laughing stock".
He took his organisation to task for not implementing their own resolutions.
"We are not moving forward...we are not there comrades," Mlambo said.
