Helen Zille's leadership of the DA would not be challenged at the party's national elective conference next month, spokesman Mmusi Maimane said on Wednesday.
He said she would stand uncontested as party leader at the congress in Boksburg on the East Rand.
"There is nothing sinister about that," Maimane told reporters in Johannesburg.
"Any DA member in good financial standing can stand [for the position]. No candidate has come forward."
The Democratic Alliance will hold the congress on November 24 and 25.
At the event, the party will elect a leader, federal chairperson, three deputy federal chairpersons, federal council chair and deputy chair, chairperson of the federal legal commission, and the federal finance committee.
