Party united, stronger in the new year: North West ANC

Sapa | 01 January, 2013 08:17

The ANC emerged united and stronger from its centennial year and looked forward to the new year, the ANC in the North West said.

"We bid farewell to the year of the centenary of the ANC not doubtful that ours is a more united, stronger and cohesive movement," said spokesman Kenny Morolong.

Amongst the party's milestones was the election of five of the party's members in the North West to the ruling party's national executive committee during the elective conference held two weeks ago in Mangaung.

"This representation is unprecedented. We take pride that those elected have served the ANC at all levels... their track record will help them formulate discussions that will add value growth of our movement."

Morolong said the party was impressed by the work of the Marikana Commission of Inquiry into the deaths of 44 people during wage-related protests at Lonmin mine in Marikana, North West.

The ANC was also looking forward to hosting the African Cup of Nations in January, with Rustenburg being one of the country's host cities for the event.

The party also wished former president Nelson Mandela a full recovery at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, after he was diagnosed with a lung infection and also underwent gallstone surgery.

Kenny Moronlong, like any 'good ANC cadre' has the right to opine the sun is square and the pigs fly from blooming flower to blooming flower, but as long as the ANC is full of unscrupulous and greedy politicians, the "united and stronger" party will show more divisions and internal struggle for the public money booty........

As "impressed" as they might be by the Marikana Comission, the guilty and negligent ANC involved cadres and high "viziers" starting with the inept and corrupt Mr Zuma will not be brought to book, and time will tell if the miners now and then will remember in elections time, their fate at the hands of the ANC, not the Nationalist Party........

Good Bye 2012 corruption......Happy 2013 corruption!!!!..........
