The National Development Plan will put the country on a clear growth path, President Jacob Zuma said on Friday.

“It is our plan. It cannot be said it is a plan of the party or government, much as government has to implement the plan,” he told a The New Age business breakfast in Cape Town.

“The country is clear where it is going. We now have a National Development Plan. It is not everyone speaking from his or her own mind as to what we think we must do about South Africa.”

Zuma said the difficulty facing the government was to make the plan work for all South Africans. He said the NDP was unique in that it was produced by talented South Africans.
