Hundreds of Economic Freedom Fighters supporters gathered at Stoffel park in Mamelodi, east of Pretoria, for the launch of the party's election truck.

Dressed in red T-shirts and berets, supporters danced and sang as they waited for the arrival of EFF leader Julius Malema.

Malema was expected to address residents at noon as part of his election campaign.
