Parliamentarians probe vacancies at police oversight body

The acting head of the Civilian Secretariat for Police should have had Oscar nominations by now. This remark by member of parliament for the opposition Dianne Kohler Barnard during a briefing of Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Police on Wednesday characterised the type of concerns raised about the body meant to advise the minister of police and conduct oversight over the police.
