Wits suspends EFF protesters for disruption debate

Wits University has announced that it has suspended members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party who disrupted a Students Representative Council (SRC) election debate on Tuesday. The party is also no longer recognised as a society by the university.The debate had to be called off when physical altercations erupted and the EFF members took to the podium and chanted “No SRC”.
