Economic Freedom Fighters MPL Mandisa Mashego was ordered to leave the Gauteng legislature for 30 minutes for "making noise" on Thursday.

Speaker Ntombi Mekgwe made the order after Mashego continued talking while other legislature members addressed the house during the state-of-the-province debate in Johannesburg.

"You are going to choose to remain or leave for 30 minutes," Mekgwe told Mashego.

"If you are not happy you can refer the matter to the rules committee."

Mashego refused to leave and accused Inkatha Freedom Party MPL Bonginkosi Dlamini of bullying her.

Mekgwe had to keep interrupting Democratic Alliance MPL Ashor Sarupen during his address because Mashego and Dlamini were arguing.

"This member is bullying me," Mashego complained.

Mashego remained in the house despite Mekgwe's order.
