'Mama' Ruth Mompati to receive category one special official funeral

National flags will fly at half mast from next Tuesday until struggle veteran Ruth Mompati is buried next Saturday. Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe said that Mompati would be accorded a category one‚ special official funeral.The funeral will start at 9am at the Vryburg show grounds in North West next Saturday.The eulogy will be given by President Jacob Zuma.Radebe said there would be transport arrangements made for members of the public but these would be announced closer to the time.An official state memorial service will also be held for Mompati in Vryburg on Thursday.In addition‚ 54 condolence books have been placed at governmental offices and sites around the country.-RDM News Wire, The Times..
