For seven years, SAFA boss and Nelson Mandela Bay metro mayor Danny Jordaan has skipped out on paying electricity despite his wife reporting a faulty meter to the municipality.

According to The Weekend Post, they are in possession of a document which proves Jordaan has not been billed for electricity for close to a decade.

Jordaan's wife, Roxanne said their electricity meter had burned out and while they reported the issue to the municipality - it was never attended to. This was confirmed by Roland Williams, metro spokesperson.

Roxanne explained to the newspaper that they had been paying municipal charges via debit order and that their meter was fixed recently. Although their meter was fixed last month, the Jordaans will have to fork out for the period that they did not pay.
