Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) student command members armed with steel pipes and sticks are marching through the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT)‚ Soshanguve Campus‚ awaiting leader Julius Malema.

Malema is visiting TUT campuses in Pretoria to garner support for his party's student command ahead of student representative council elections tomorrow.

His speech was cut short at the main campus in Pretoria West after supporters of the Congress of South African Students (Cosas) pelted the stage with stones.

Body guards whisked him off as the situation reached pandemonium proportions as EFF student arm members faced off with Cosas members.

Malema's second stop‚ the Ga-rankuwa campus‚ was calm.

EFF members shouted "voetsek Cosas".

Security guards at Soshanguve campus are barring journalists from entering the campus.
