The Democratic Alliance-run Western Cape is systematically moving towards becoming an "Orania". That's according to Energy minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson.The minister was addressing the Western Cape ANC provincial general council (PGC) on Saturday. The meeting is expected to go until Saturday evening. This is one of nine other PGCs across the country in preparation of the ANC's upcoming policy conference."Those who still want to be racist‚ those who still want to glorify apartheid‚ have descended on your shores‚" Joemat-Pettersson said. She said there was a change in social demographics in the province which was happening under the provincial ANC's noses."You have new Jan van Riebeecks‚" said Joemat-Pettersson.She said the only narrative that was articulated in the province was an influx of the rural poor from the Eastern Cape."It is never mentioned that there is a coalition of white anti-left and anti progressive forces‚" she said."You can see now the province is not moving towards federalism‚ they are moving towards Orania‚ an independent state of the Western Cape."..
