The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday said statements made on social media platforms that the upcoming conference would be postponed, are false.
“The conference is still going to be held on 5 to 8 November 2015 at the Royal Show Ground in Pietermaritzburg,” ANC provincial secretary Sihle Zikalala said, adding that preparations were at an advanced stage.
“We are very concerned about what is being circulated on social media. In terms of the ANC constitution, we have observed all due processes building up to the conference. From where we stand, there is no option to postpone the conference."
Zikalala said KZN branches were currently busy with pre-registration, and were "sitting at 85%" on the state of preparedness.”
