Judge Mthiyane to chair commission looking into teachers’ pay

President Jacob Zuma has appointed retired Deputy President of the Supreme Court of Appeal Khayelihle Kenneth Mthiyane to chair the Commission of Inquiry into the remuneration and conditions of service in the public service and public entities. The commission was‚ a Presidency statement said‚ announced during Zuma’s State of the Nation Address in 2013 and was to have “the remuneration of educators receiving priority attention”.“The commission is also mandated to investigate matters relating to organisational development‚ job evaluating and grading‚ recruitment‚ appointment and promotion‚ human resource planning and performance management systems‚ policies and practices in the public service‚” it said...
