EFF threatens proceedings if ANC councillor at centre of bribe claims is sworn in

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has objected to African National Congress (ANC) councillor Dan Bovu being sworn in at the Johannesburg sitting on Monday‚ because it had opened corruption charges against him.The EFF on Sunday alleged that Bovu had tried to bribe its Johannesburg councillors to vote for the ANC during the first sitting where a mayor would be elected.
