ANC chief whip ‘salutes’ Madonsela as Zuma confirms Mkhwebane as her replacement

The Office of the African National Congress Chief Whip said on Thursday that out-going public protector Thuli Madonsela had “undoubtedly infused renewed energy on this critical Chapter 9 institution”. It also congratulated “advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane for her appointment to the position of the Public Protector of South Africa by President Jacob Zuma” on Thursday‚ and said she “was recommended for appointment by the National Assembly…following a gruelling‚ open and transparent process”.
