Shot fired at DA office in Nelson Mandela Bay

Armed men burst into the Democratic Alliance’s Ngqura Constituency Office in Kwazakhele in Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape on Friday afternoon and fired a gun shot at DA activists and councillors before stealing countless cell phones and a bank card‚ the DA disclosed on Sunday.In what seemed to have been a well-orchestrated operation targeted specifically at the DA‚ the armed men knew exactly which individuals to target in order to steal their bank cards‚ the DA’s mayoral candidate for Nelson Mandela Bay‚ Athol Trollip‚ asserted.He charged that the attack came only days after the ANC had allegedly called for violence against the DA during a funeral in Port Elizabeth.Trollip added that he had written to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) in the Eastern Cape to ask for an immediate investigation into the alleged ANC utterances “which contravene our electoral act and code of conduct and amount to incitement of violence”...
