Malema says Zuma must fall‚ puts a R155m price tag on Nkandla

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema says President Jacob Zuma must be removed from office based on the Constitutional Court hearing into spending on Nkandla‚ even though judgment is still being awaited. He said the President has violated the Constitution by not implementing the remedial actions of the Public Protector.“In the same way that they removed President (Thabo) Mbeki on basis of the Nicholson judgment‚ they must remove Zuma on the basis of this court.”“If the ANC uses their majority in Parliament to protect Zuma from impeachment‚ we'll be back here‚” he said‚ referring to the Constitutional Court‚ according to comments attributed to him by the official EFF account on Twitter. Malema was addressing media after the court heard argument on the case.Judge Chris Nicholson made a finding of political meddling in the Zuma corruption case but this was subsequently criticised by the Supreme Court of Appeal.On his party’s #PayBackTheMoney campaign‚ Malema said the special investigating unit had estimated the over-expenditure on Nkandla at R155 million.“That's what Zuma must pay and he must do so within 30 days‚” Malema said...
