Upgraded Gauteng roads will not be tolled‚ says Premier

Provincial government will be upgrading the William Nicol from Juskei River to N14 in Diepsloot‚ forming an important link between N14 and the N1 in the south.The N14 from Diepsloot to the Hendrik Potgieter intersection will also link Tshwane‚ Johannesburg and West Rand communities.In the Vaal Triangle‚ the R82 (Old Vereeniging Road) will be upgraded from a single to a dual carriageway from Walkerville to De Deur. The road will provide access to existing and future developments around Walkerville‚ Eikenhoff and De Deur.Evaton road will be upgraded from Adams to Selbourne and a new interchange will be built on R42 Barrage Road to connect the new Vaal River City and Sharpeville.In Ekurhuleni‚ the Heidelberg Road will be upgraded from Leondale Forsdick road to Barry Marias road from a single carriageway to a dual carriageway. This project will improve accessibility for future developments in Vosloorus‚ Leondale and southern parts of Ekurhuleni.“All these roads will not be tolled.
