Zuma sends message of condolence to Fiji following devastating cyclone

President Jacob Zuma has sent a message of condolence on behalf of the people of South Africa to Fiji following Tropical Cyclone Winston which struck the Pacific island state last Saturday‚ killing at least 29 people and causing widespread devastation.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Fiji in the aftermath of this severe cyclone which has wrought such disaster and devastation.

“On behalf of the Government and people of South Africa‚ I send my deepest condolences to the Government of Fiji and to everyone affected‚ particularly to the families and friends of those killed and injured‚” the message read.
