Free enterprise flourishing at EFF rally as fighters stock up on party regalia

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) regalia is selling like hot cakes outside Orlando Stadium in Soweto‚ where it is launching its Local Government Manifesto. The party's hats‚ bags‚ flags and T-shirts are on sale.EFF member and hawker Nkosinathi Gweba's stall is well positioned and it is the first one party members come across as they approach the entrance of the stadium. They stop and ask the price of each item on sale. He sells a bag for R40‚ a beret for R20‚ T-shirt for R100 and a hat for R50. Flags are available at R30 and R50 each.He says the business is going well as he has been at the venue since early Saturday morning."I can say that I will be making a lot of profit."Nkosinathi says he gets his supply from a friend and he gets them for a cheaper price.Other stalls are offering pricier merchandise‚ with a warm jacket selling for R400‚ and a Leathermate jacket for R200.Cotton berets are on offer at R100‚ and shorts at R250.The item most often associated with the EFF - the overall - is being offered to fighters at R350...
