Two hospitalised after Zuma's convoy involved in head-on collision

One of President Jacob Zuma's bodyguards was injured in a blue light brigade collision outside Umhlanga in Durban. According to Crisis Medical Paramedics‚ the head-on collision took place on the M4 northbound freeway just before 7pm on Tuesday evening.Zuma was in Durban on Tuesday for the launch of Toyota's new manufacturing plant for the latest Hilux and Fortuner models."One of the four occupants of the vehicle‚ a male of 24 years old‚ sustained moderate injuries. He is believed to be one of the president's bodyguards‚” a Crisis Medical Paramedics statement said."He was treated on scene and was transported to hospital for further care."The driver of the other vehicle‚ a 28-year-old woman‚ was also treated on the scene before being taken to hospital.No other injuries were reported and it is unclear what caused the collision. - TMG Digital/Durban Bureau..
