Sasco and EFF dominate Unisa SRC elections

The SA Students Congress has won the national ballot of the student representative council of the University of South Africa. In a statement released by Unisa on Friday‚ Sasco won the national ballot with 8‚670 votes which earned it three seats‚ closely followed by the Economic Freedom Fighters Students Command with 7‚900 votes which also gave it three seats.The third place was occupied by the African National Congress Youth League with 5‚383 which gave it two seats while the Democratic Alliance Students Organisation only earned one seat with 3‚314.Sasco also led in the number of votes in Unisa regions which included Eastern Cape‚ KwaZulu-Natal‚ Limpopo and Mpumalanga.The EFF student command won Johannesburg‚ Pretoria and the Midlands...
