All JSE trading had been restored by mid-morning after delays caused by a glitch in the bourse's production infrastructure, it said.
"The currency futures and interest rate markets opened at 9.15am and the commodity and equity derivatives markets at 10am," the bourse said in a statement.
The JSE SENS news service, which was also affected, was restored at 9.15am.
"The JSE regrets the market open delays and interruption to the SENS service," it said.
