Proposed changes to the National Road Traffic Act could see it taking up to 12 months longer to get a drivers license.

iDRIVE.co.za says new technology developed by it simplifies the process.

iDrive says, "after years of research and testing the new system is designed to provide learner drivers with all the training, resources and qualified driving instructors required to become a legal driver."

iDRIVE founder Rafiq Phillips says: "Every week learner drivers send hundreds of SMS and email messages directly to driving schools."
